| A power bank still detects a connected device if I disconnect USB's VBUS |

Do you know of a way to do it - in a standard way - without disconnecting the entire cable? Would disconnecting only GND do it (will try that next if no one answers)? PS. In case anyone wonders why, it's because I can't change the power bank's model/brand and it doesn't fast-charge itself, if anything else is connected to it. |

what about a cable with a built-in switch: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-3-pcs-Micro-USB-Power-Cable-with-ON-OFF-Switch-for-Raspberry-Pi-Durable-/132925734304 |

It senses the data lines too. |

Another forum suggested to just switch the GND because it will make the other pins float. I guess I'll try that next. --- Quote from: malagas_on_fire on March 06, 2019, 12:33:50 pm ---what about a cable with a built-in switch --- End quote --- I'd rather avoid that due to cost and space. Plus, it probably only does what I already do (since it's called "power cable"). --- Quote from: amyk on March 06, 2019, 01:06:34 pm ---It senses the data lines too. --- End quote --- |

success, dangling GND made the power bank completely oblivious anything is connected to it. |
