How are the ESD or antistatic properties of plastic ESD packaging boxes checked?

Hello everyone,


I am interested in whether plastic ESD packaging boxes need to be checked for ESD or ANTISTATIC PROPERTIES, apart from surface resistance, and by measuring the electrostatic field they produce?
 Is measuring the electrostatic field they produce by manipulating them necessary?
