Title: ACS709 fault reset
Post by: stoyanoff on August 09, 2021, 03:12:30 pm
Greetings! I need to substitute my current sensor and ACS709 is available. Has anybody ever used this sensor? I need to know if the fault pin resets if the fault condition is not present?  Do I have to use the FAULT_EN pin? Because I don`t have extra pin for this.
Thanks!

I think it works in conjunction with pin 22 .

19   FAULT    Over current Fault pin. When current flowing between IP+ pins and IP– pins exceeds the overcurrent fault threshold, this pin transitions to a logic low state.

22   FAULT_EN   Enables overcurrent faulting when high. Resets FAULT when low
