ADC for Thermopile based IR image sensor

(1/1)

sangar:
Hello All,

I am looking for an ADC which converts analog output from my ML8540 (48 x 48 pixels) IR image sensor that supports 6fps. How should be my ADC ?. I am struggling to get clear information from ML5840 such as the rate of temperature change (I assume "resolution" for this) and step voltage ( I assume "IR sensitivity VIR" for this ) for it. The product spec I have says the "resoultion" is 0.5C @ 4fps and "IR sensitivity VIR" is 400uv. Does it means a 0.5C change in temperature will give a rise of 400uV in analog output. Also, it says the "Measurement range" is -30 to 300C.I think, a voltage (0 to 5V) will be fed at Neagative bias pin is equal to -30C.So, for 300C, it will be 132mV.

As for sampling rate required from the ADC, 1 frame consist of 2256 pixels, 6fps=13536 pixels. So,the ADC I will select should have an ODR greater than >13.536 Ksps.

Is my understanding correct?.Please correct me if I am wrong. For your reference, I attached the link for the product spec I am referring...
