ADC on an STM32 and high voltage inputs

(1/1)

roogadget:
Hi,

I am designing a sensor device.

The sensor takes in a input voltage between 0 - 12 V. I need to do some magic in the middle to get it into the ADC pin (say >1V low, 2.5 High).

What is the typical way to do this?

Not clear why you don't want to have the lower level to be 0 on the MCU side as well. This way a simple resistor divider may work.

If the signal is fast changing and you want to reduce noise, then opamp to buffer the divided signal before the MCU. This will ensure consistent impedance matching.
