Amplifier from headphones jack to line in ...
(1/1)

Hi,
Yes. No mistake in the subject line....
I will use a low-cost low-quality android tablet with "Samba MP3 Network player" free app to stream music from my network into my Hi-Fi.
The only output available on the tablet is a headphone jack.
I connect it to a line-in of my amplifier, and.... even whith the tablet volume at max, the sound level is pretty low.
So, clearly, I need a bit of amplification.
I found two modules on AliExpress. Could they do the trick ?

Should you have a (relatively) simple schematics, I am also able to build one myself, but my knowledge in analogic electronics is insufficient to design one by myself.
Thanks

Those you linked might work but are not really the right kind of thing. They are designed to take a line in signal and buffer it to drive low-impedance headphones. They don't necessarily increase the signal voltage, but they provide power gain by increasing the available current.
What you need is voltage gain, you don't really need power gain at all. A simple op-amp circuit could do that with around 6 components for stereo, or you could use an audio transformer which has the advantage of not needing any external power.

Have you considered using a bluetooth stereo receiver? There are quite a few and here is a video describing one.

This is pure GENIOUS :-+
I didn't even know it existed for home use (other than the usual BT speakers), and for a mere 20 EUR, my problem's solved !
Thanks for the tip, Arthur ! :-+
