Assistance with programming MCP3903
« on: July 10, 2013, 01:44:02 pm »
Hi Everyone

I'm very new to the world of programming. I would like to design a 3-phase energy meter for my final year project using MCP3903 and a dspic33f chip. I've started programming the dspic but I'm struggling to find a starting point for the MCP3903. I cant find any help on MPLAB X on how exactly I would go about starting programming for the MCP3903. I would like assistance on where do I start to look for the libraries and a step by step instruction on how to start with the programming. Any help with the c  code will be much appreciated as well as code for power, voltage and current computation on the dspic.

Thank you

here are a couple of results

eevblog episode #409

or if all else fails look at the reference design, that or maybe there is one for the 3901

but really, what happened in the first years of your course?

to talk to this chip you need to use SPI.
