Atheros AR9331-AL1A vs AR9331-AL3A
« on: August 19, 2013, 01:05:16 am »
I'm doing some investigation on the TP-Link TL-W702n.  It bares a lot of similarities to the TL-703n, but it uses the AR9331-AL3A SoC and was unable to find any documentation on that specific chip (AR9331-AL3A).

There is a datasheet available for the "AR9331".
http://see.sl088.com/w/images/6/69/AR9331.pdf

In section 9, "Ordering Information" of the data sheet (PRELIMINARY December 2010) it specifies:
Quote
9. Ordering Information
The order number AR9331-AL1A specifies a
lead-free standard-temperature version of the
AR9331.

Could that imply that the "-AL3A" be leaded and maybe that the design (specifically the pinout) is no different that the "-AL1A"?

Thanks!
