hi
i want to know where i can find the latest firmware version for my atten 1102cal+, i've searched on their site but i didn't find a place to download the firmware.
can some one help me please?

Somewhere on this side http://www.atten.com.cn/help.aspx?channelid=12&title=%E8%81%94%E7%B3%BB%E6%96%B9%E5%BC%8F (http://www.atten.com.cn/help.aspx?channelid=12&title=%E8%81%94%E7%B3%BB%E6%96%B9%E5%BC%8F) is a telephone number for instrument after-sales support.
Or try this http://www.atten.com.cn/GuestbookSay.aspx (http://www.atten.com.cn/GuestbookSay.aspx)
Don't expect to get any answer. But if you provide them with your email, don't be surprised should you be spammed to death by all sorts of strange Chinese spammers.

to kgavionics:
If your current firmware is version 3.01.0131R16 then this is the latest. I have been complaining to Atten about the two Atten ADS1102CAL scopes we just purchased - these are the buggiest scopes I've ever seen, and I've been using scopes for 45 years. Both have the same set of problems, and one will not display reference waveforms.
All Atten tells me is they are sorry for the problems, but no firmware update exists.
Moral - you buy a cheap scope, you get a cheap scope.

Hello,
i searched a lot for the same information and no one at atten returned my emails.
then i opened the scope and discovered that is was a siglent model SDS1102CNL (ADS1102CAL+)
so I searched at siglent and discovered that siglent provide firmwares upgrades for digital scopes.
the latest version for our model at siglent site is: 3.01.01.31R17
remember that you can NOT backup your atten firmware so this firmware xchange is one way only.
if you want to go further, you can buy the memory IC (IS61LPS51236A-200TQLI) and just solder it to the scope board and in place of model CNL you upgrade it to model CML so you will go from 40k memory to 2m memory upgrade. the latest firmware to this one is 3.01.01.31R18.
cheers,
Gustavo

Hi Gustavo,
Many thanks for posting about your experience with Siglent firmware for the Atten - I was wondering about this:
then i opened the scope and discovered that is was a siglent model SDS1102CNL (ADS1102CAL+)
I have an Atten ADS1202CL+, and I just tried opening it; I got to the two PCBs, and that is documented in the post Atten ADS1202CL+ (partial) teardown (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/reviews/atten-ads1202cl-(partial)-teardown/).
While I can see "Siglent" on those two PCBs - I can, unfortunately, only see markings such as "CA_M_111000", "SAT7.820.6810" or "SAT7.820.631H"; that is, nothing like "SDSXXXXYYY" to indicate a particular oscilloscope model from Siglent.
Can you please clarify how did you arrive at the conclusion that ADS1102CAL+ maps to SDS1102CNL? Is there a possibility that I can find an "SDSXXXXYYY" marking if I continue to disassemble the scope further? If so, where could I expect to see a marking like that?
Edit: second question: on my scope, when you go to Utility/System Status, it says (among other things): "Product type: ADS1202CL+"; I'm guessing you had ADS1102CAL+ written here with the original firmware. What does your scope say there now, after being flashed with Siglent firmware?
Many thanks in advance for any answers,
Cheers!

Hello,
you will not find information about models on the pcbs because many models uses the same board. mine uses the same board as yours.
one way to identify is to verify the format of the firmware models like my ADS1102CAL+ uses same firmware version format that SDS1102CNL and CML the diference is only the memory IC.
check if your dso firmware is something like: 1.02.06.02P15R2. one good point for you is that siglent have just one model of 1202 (SDS1202CNL) the L in case of siglent stands for wide screen.
Second question:
my Atten ADS1102CAL+ after the update to Siglent Firmware shows:
Software Version 3.01.01.31R17
Hardware Version 10-61-3.3
Product Type SDS1102CNL
Serial No. ADS0000XXXXXXX (Note that searial stills ADSXXXX)
Obs. Remember that Atten don't supply firmware upgrades so if you upgrade to siglent firmware, it's a no way back trip. Don't do it if you haven't absolute sure that the firmware is good for your model !!!
cheers

Hi Gustavo,
Just wanted to say many, many thanks:

Thanks for the info; my ADS1202CL+ reports in Utility/System Status:
Software version: 3.01.01.31R16
Hardware version: 10-61-2.4
Product type: ADS1202CL+
and the installation of EasyScope from CD is "Atten EasyScope_V300R001B03D01P11_EN". I'm not sure where to look for the match for 1.02.06.02P15R2; your "Software Version" 3.01.01.31R17 would correspond to my 3.01.01.31R16 - and your "Hardware Version" 10-61-3.3 would correspond to my 10-61-2.4
Obs. Remember that Atten don't supply firmware upgrades so if you upgrade to siglent firmware, it's a no way back trip. Don't do it if you haven't absolute sure that the firmware is good for your model !!!
Thanks - this is the reason why I still haven't tried anything (out of fear I'll brick the device) :)
Thanks again,
Cheers!

I must have been lucky, they answered my e-mail inquiry asking if I had latest SW and HW in mine, purchased in Dec 2012.
Please check the reply from our engineer,
I checked the version of the software ,it is the newest version,your problem is ok ,because the machine works on channel 1 By default;
Best Regards
Tinna
I had asked if SOftware 5.01.02.13 and Hardware 11-62-3.3
on ADS1102CAL+ was the latest.
Only complaint I have on this is when triggering off channel 1
with 2 channels, when you remove or change signal on channel 2
the channel 2 signal remains ! You must move horiz or vert gain or somthing to get it to remove and then display again.
I can live with it but need it fixed
-
Just to clarify, here is photo of the actual readout of the version since mine don't seem to match some of the others listed here. As of Feb 2013, they claim this is the latest.
The email address my reply came from was atten@atten.com.cn

Tinna is a girl working at ATTEN in Asia some where, I asked the same things you did and I got an email back asking to make my questions "More Simple Please"
If you need help go to ATTEN.EU, they are very helpful and if you email them nice they will really try to help.

Hey guys,
I just update my ATTEN ADS-1102CAL+ (Siglent SDS-1102CNL) to the new
Siglent's firmware version 5.01.02.13.
my Hardware is revision 11-61-3.3
I just followed the update procedures:
first update firmware...
reboot
update cfg file...
reboot
do a Self Cal on utility menu
working great.
cheers

Hi Gustavo,
I read your previous post about memory upgrade of atten ADS1102CAL+.
I have almost same version (hw: 11-62-3.3, sw: 5.01.02.13) of scope, so I'd like to ask you if you managed to
add more memory to your scope, or it was just a theory?
Thank you: Loszi

hello,
I just updated mine :
ADS-1102CAL
Hardware is revision 11-61-3.3
old firm :3.01.01.31R16 new 5.01.02.13
Works great too ! :-+
Inow own a siglent.... >:D
I would like to know if someone really added the memory chip as Gustavo suggested ?

Hi all.
First ,excuse me for my poor english ;).
I updated the firmware of my ADS-1102CAL too ,and investigate the driver usbtmc(I am a Linux user), I discover this firmware is Lecroy.
If I send to scope "*IDN?" to scope it respond Siglent ......
But ,if I send :TEMPLATE? it respond:
/00
000000 WAVEACE: TEMPLATE
8 66 111
;
; Explanation of the formats of waveforms and their descriptors on the
; LeCroy Digital Oscilloscopes,
; Software Release 8.1.0, 11/03/06.
;
..........., and more data.
Best regards.
Juan.

hi guys
i just updated my oscilloscope via siglent website ( file SDS1000CNL_Update (5.01.02.13)) , now the oscilloscope is working but it doesn't show any brand neither siglent or atten just a black screen when it's rebooting.
the version shown is 5.01.02.13 and my hardware version is still 10-61-3.3 is something wrong with it?
-
Is the scope otherwise working fine?
-
Is the scope otherwise working fine?
yes it is.
by the way i found a solution, by updating the cfg file provided with update.now every thing seems to be ok,but i have a little concern because the hardware revision is always the same (10-61-3.3) not 11-61-3.3 like delacvi said in this thread.how can i upgrade the hardware version if it's possible?
thank you in advance guys

The hardware version like the name says it's the hardware, you can't update it by a FW update, for that you need to by a new scope :-DD
EDIT:
By the way, if you are worried about you hardware version, look at mine ;D :
hardware version:
5-41-2.0

You find solution... .cfg file needed also
This solution do not need "find". It reads exactly in upgrade instructions.
How you have made upgrade without these two phases what read exatly in upgrade instructions.
About HW version.
Also it reads in manual (least in Siglent manual). Why write manuals if no one read these. ;)
There is also available service manual (not CLIP included)). Manuals also explains what are these numbers.
First two digits (in these scopes typically today newest what I know for these models is 11) is PCB version.
So, for upgrade this, you can buy new main board from Siglent. It is so easy.
Oh well but why buy Atten if want then all support from Siglent.
Perhaps Siglent is better to write new agreenment with Atten where is clearly defined who is responsible to arrange after sales customer care for OEM/ODM products.
I recommend for Siglent that they implement brand and model check for FW upgrade procedure for avoid potential problems in future.

did the upadate of my cfg file and now everything is allright
thank you guys
-
Just for the record, I just did the Siglent SDS1000CNL_Update v5.01.02.13 on my Atten ADS1102CAL (not +) HWversion 11-62-3.3. No issue. I just followed the instruction in the Readme.bmp included with the Siglent download.
Thanks all.
-
Thanks for this solution !
I also did the update (SDS1000CNL_Update_EN) but on a lower spec oscilloscope :
Atten ADS 1062CAL 60MHz two channels 1GSa/s
firm version 3.01.01313->5.01.02.13
Hw version 6-41.2.1
In my case the Siglent boot screen only appeared after second reboot (or after loading the .cfg file + reboot ?) and it now shows a product type SDS106X.
Basic functions work ok, didn't notice any issues.

It was the same for me. It appears the bootscreen in is in the .cfg file.

Hello, a small follow up about the memory upgrade. After 7 months, I finally ordered the ISSI memory chip from a guy at aliexpress.
I am still waiting for the chip to arrive but i will share the experiment here.
Stay tuned.
Cheers,
Gustavo

Hello, the memory ic arrived today.
I soldered it and I upgraded for 1102CML firmware.
Everything seems to working fine.
Now i need some suggestions on how to test it. To see if the memory is working as expected.

@Crackn: Why you don't use the ATTEN firmware version CML (=with bigger memory) ? You can download it here http://www.atten.com.cn/Download/soft/shiboqi/Update/ (http://www.atten.com.cn/Download/soft/shiboqi/Update/)
Do you have 2 or 3 ADC's? like in picture?

Just because siglent's firmware is version 5 and atten firmwares are version 3. old firmware.

Damm, I have the ADS1102CAL, I don't have it opened yep, but I suppose there will only 2 ADC's?
I am wondering how the firmware is detecting if there are 2 or 3 ADC's. If not detecting at all, I need to add memory IC and one ADC and maybe more? Will be more tricky.
-
You may want to have a look at this:
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/atten-asd1102cal-to-siglent-sds1102cml/msg332942/#msg332942 (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/atten-asd1102cal-to-siglent-sds1102cml/msg332942/#msg332942)

Thanks !
Great news ! ;D
Looks like ADS1102CAL have 3 ADC's and only new memory chip is needed.
Wondering what's the true difference between ADS1102CAL and ADS1102CAL+ ? If someone know it or find it let me know. Or is it pure marketing?
-
I don't know about feature wise but that + board looks to have been simplified, the ram is in a different location and some unpopulated connector footprints are gone.

Hello,
I have some troubles with update. My ATTEN 1102CAL oscilloscope died after I updated it by mistake to waveace 100 (I put wrong file to USB stick)
In fact, Oscilloscope stars OK, but there is something like noise on both inputs (looks like the data are taken in the wrong address) -–> the inputs does not works
-When I update back to sieglent1000 (this works in the past!), nothing change – still noise
-when I update back to atten (1102CAL) – scope says “product type does not match” – so impossible to return back to atten
It looks like the LecRoy change some register that are not affected by other firmwares – AD address, or product type (??)
-I add the memory chip on the board with hope that scope starts working – still noise
-when run self-calibration, it take ~10minuts
Otherwise, scope works well :)
Somebody have an idea?
Somebody have atten 1102CML or CL firmware (not sieglent – this does not work)
Thanks
Vrat

HEllo,
I get the ATTEN CML firmware and the update passed OK, but the problem remain..
I think there is not ATTEN CFG files.. only siglent one

Hello chaps and thanks for the good advice.
I've updated my Atten ADS1102CAL+ using the SDS1000CML firmware update from Siglent. The scope seems to work OK but I don't have the "cfg" file that you talk of and can't find it on the Siglent site?
would one of you be able to give me a copy of it please?
cheers,
Phil
-
Ignore my previous post, I just found an update package that contained the config file. All done and good!
-
OK, I feel dumb. I looked and many of the links don't seem to work for firmware, not to mention most seem to be for the ADS1102CAL+.
I have the ADS1102CAL (not plus). The major issue I see is that the calibration process hangs and I have to turn it off.
I'd like to upgrade the firmware, but I don't want to attempt soldering a new memory chip on, that looks a bit daunting.
Is there a source for the firmware and CFG file for my model?
-

Hello everyone,
I have a ADS1102CAL+ and tried to upgrade the firmware with the latest Siglent release for the SDS1000CNL.
However, it doesn't recognize the firmware update files and the upgrade stops.
Did you rename those files by chance? I found an old Atten firmware file and it ends in .up instead of .ADS of Siglent firmware files.
Any help or suggestion is appreciated!

Hi.
I think the ADS1102CAL+ is the SDS1102CML ,just download the correct frimware and install it.
http://www.siglent.com/ENs/gjjrj.aspx?id=15&page=1 (http://www.siglent.com/ENs/gjjrj.aspx?id=15&page=1)
There is a new frimware but comes without the .CFG file
we can use the version 13? , I have not tried yet.

Hi, guys!
Have anybody LeCroy 5.01.02.27 firmware? Official site shares only 5.01.02.29 now and I'm not sure of it.
Also package does not contain *.cfg file - does anybody have *.cfg file for LeCroy 1012 (if it exists at all)?

I've got the ATTEN ADS 1102CAL that I brought secondhand from a local ham radio fest for $275 and I was warned about some of the original firmware issues as it had vers 301.01.01.213 installed when I got it and then I decided to upgrade the firmware based on what I was reading on this forum post and a similar one on this site and upgraded mine to Siglent SDS1102CNL vers 5.01.02.29 which works a treat when you follow the instructions of flashing the firmware first then reboot and then cfg file and reboot again and then do self calibration of the unit, so mine now is basically a Siglent SDS1102CNL and I can't use the original ATTEN ADS 2202CAL USB drivers as it has also upgraded USB flash EEPROM and now identifies itself as an SDS1102CNL when it's plugged into a Windows 7 or 10 based PC, is there anyway I can use this DSO on a PC because there is no known USB drivers for the SDS1102CNL to be able to use this with EasyScope vers 3?

Hi. I bricked my ATTEN ADS1102CAL by connecting 220V to the ground of a scope probe. I managed to connect to it over JTAG and appeared that firmware had been corrupted. I found full dump on the internet and flashed the scope. It returned back to the life but It seems that some configuration in this dump is not corresponding to my real hardware revision. It doesn't show me signals from both channels. Tried to update it to Siglent firmware. Didn't helped. The board of the scope has version SAT7.820.681K
Does anybody can help me with the full dump which would correspond to my hardware (ATTEN or Siglent)?
Attaching the config file for topJTAG Flash Programmer if anyone need it.

Just noticed this post.....
Use of the later version EasyscopeX over USB you need to install NIVISA, the USB drivers are contained within.
The driver is ausbtmc.inf and you'll need to point your USB port to use it.
Some guidance can be found in the attached Doc.

Welcome to the forum.
By any chance is the non-working channel the one you dumped mains into the GND ?
You may have damaged that channel.
Can you post up a screenshot or a pic?

Thank you for your attention. Both channels are not working. It looks like some internal signal is now connected to the channels or digital information about signals is taken not from ADCs. If I press Default Setup button I can see the first picture. And the second one is after I press Auto button.

The only check I can now suggest is to reseat all connections to the display.
To do all you will have to remove the mobo to access the connector on the rear of the display.
There are some checks you can do with another scope and a DMM in the service manual.
Service manual:

Thank you. Will try this.
Is there any chance that FPGA Altera Cyclone IV in my scope is not configured correctly as a result of high voltage on the ground? Is the FPGA's configuring should be done separately? Or it get's it's configuration from main firmware.

Altera Cyclone IV has no internal flash memory, it's SRAM based. So configuration is loaded each time on startup from external flash chip, or from CPU (most likely in this case). FPGA chip if fried, can be replaced without risk to loose anything. But I suspect that there were more fried chips and FPGA is not first in that list.

Hi, first time poster!
I received a Atten ADS 1102CML from my girlfriends father who told me that he broke it and that maybe I could fix it. He tried updating the firmware to Siglent firmware and said ever since he did that he could never get a signal to appear on the display from either of the channels.
First things first, here is what current software is on it:
Software Version 5.01.02.22
Hardware Version 3-41-0.0
Product Type SDS1102CML
When I started my research I came across some of the threads here with instructions on how to upgrade to the Siglent firmware but the issue I'm having is trying to update the *.cfg file. Most of the threads pointed to this post on the freeforums site where you can grab the firmware file, cfg file, and instructions: http://siglent.freeforums.org/new-fw-for-sds1000cml-and-cnl-t77.html (http://siglent.freeforums.org/new-fw-for-sds1000cml-and-cnl-t77.html) .
I proceeded by downloading the FW 5.01.02.22 CML firmware.
Inside there are only two files (no instructions inside rar):
SDS1000CML_SSP_V100R005B01D02P22.ADS
Siglent_CML.cfg
I renamed them to this to keep it easier:
up.ADS
cf.cfg
I put both onto a 2GB usb drive, plugged into the front usb port on the scope, went to Update Firmware, press 'SINGLE', I then selected the up.ADS file and hit LOAD. It shows that its updating the firmware so I let it finish and then I turn off the scope. I go to turn the scope back on and do the same process of going to Update Firmware again. This time I scroll down to the cf.cfg file and hit LOAD but I get an error at the bottom of the file: "The selected file format is incorrect".
And thus I'm stuck here. Everything I looked on this site for has said to keep it the same *.cfg extension so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Also, they say the instructions are inside the package(rar file) but they are not so I'm not sure where everyone is getting their instructions from. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Can you provide all but the last four characters of the SN# ?
Just need to check FW compatability. ;)

What you've done so far should've given you a result if the correct FW version has been applied.
All FW is available directly from Siglent sites and the .rar packages come with instructions

There are older FW versions and revisions, the only way to match them is with the SN#.
Think about it.....what is reported on the display is applicable to the FW currently installed and maybe not the HW.
Because the .cfg was rejected could mean it was too recent for the HW you have.

Thank you for the quick repy!
Nothing at all ? :-//
I played around some more with the controls and if I 'zoom' out on Ch1 to 10V and 25us then I see what looks like a lot of junk. And this is without any probes attached to it. I have tried the 'Do Self Cal' multiple times but that didn't seem to help anything.

I went ahead and found the newest FW (I believe) from the link you provided:
SDS1000CML_Update
ReleaseDate
7/9/2015 4:37:55 AM
Version: 5.01.02.32
Imprint
For SDS1072CML/SDS1102CML/SDS1152CML
I see the .ADS file and also the instructions but I notice that there is no .cfg file and the instructions do not mention of one? Is a .cfg file only needed when initially going from Atten to Siglent FW?

Ahh yeah that makes sense. So are there situations where the FW won't allow to be loaded if the HW is very different? Because here it seems that it was half; the FW was allowd to load but the .cfg wasn't. Or maybe I'm not understanding completely what the .cfg is supposed to do |O.

OK, I think you need older version 3 FW that is not on the Siglent site.
I only have it for 5" display models.
But I have this Atten FW: ads1K40K_func_ads1102cal+20140724.up
And AFAIK it will suit your scope if it has 7" display.
You will need to PM me with your email if you want it.
I think it will help but I'm not entirely sure, use at your own risk as I don't see you mention that the unit is a Plus model.
For now you need to forget about .cfg files and get this scope working again and worry about getting Siglent FW that might suit the HW onto it later.
So are there situations where the FW won't allow to be loaded if the HW is very different?
No.
Older FW is not on websites now so to minimise user error.
Because here it seems that it was half; the FW was allowed to load but the .cfg wasn't.
.cfg files are only included when there are substantial changes to the way a unit works and/or if there are major changes to the UI. Normally we don't see .cfg files very often included in FW releases.

Does the display look like those in images above ?
In fact, it does look similar to those two pictures where it looks all over the place.

I see, I went ahead and sent you a pm with that. And yes, I do not have the Plus model; all it says is ADS 1102CML 100MHz 1GSa/s.

Okay, and if I get it working on the Atten FW, I take it I'll have to start scouring the net for older Siglent FW? Or at least the older 3.x stuff.

Aha okay that makes sense. Thanks for explaining that to me!

Hmmm, that worries me as the only other times I've seen this it meant a mobo replacement.

Got it, will send you some stuff soon........but when I have a look at reply #51 it seems you can put series 5 FW on these units. :-//
Which leads me back to suspecting something's wrong with your unit.

I've got two different sized .cfg files in my archives but there's no .cfg file in the package with 2.29 FW mentioned in reply #51.
I'll send what I have and you can try them with 2.29 but I don't like what you tell me about the display.
If you have success do comeback here and describe your journey for others to maybe benefit from.

So I got your email and put both of those files onto the root of my USB drive but when I go to LOAD the .up file, it says it's in the incorrect file. I changed the extension type to .ADS to see if that helps but then it gave me the 'Product type does not match' error. Any ideas?

I guess the .up file is Atten's own format and won't be compatible with the Siglent OS.
So let's go back and ask why/ how it got broken ?
I received a Atten ADS 1102CML from my girlfriends father who told me that he broke it and that maybe I could fix it.
Broke because the display was corrupted and then installed FW trying to fix it ?
If this is the case then IMO a new mobo will be needed.

Basically from what I understood was that it was in working order and he read on some of his Polish forums that people were changing their FW to Siglent to get more features. So he followed some of their instructions and ever since it was reading wrong. What FW he used and what instructions he followed I have no idea. He gave it to me saying that he 'bricked' it and if I can fix it then I can have it; he seemed like he tried fixing it but gave up.
I tried looking on eBay for a mobo to it but nothing came up; maybe I was searching for it incorrectly.

OK, so it sounds if you get the right FW it might go again.
I have seen corrupted displays arising from internal connection problems and you might have seen my comments a few posts back to reseat all internal connections. Grab the Service manual that's linked for guidance.
Beware the locks on the ribbon cable connectors ;) and you'll have to pretty much totally dismantle it to get to a hidden ribbon cable connector on the back of the display. It's well hidden and can be a bitch to get at.
If the GF's dad has any experience with modular and mechanical construction he will have a few tools and the patience to guide you. Don't plan on it taking only an hour, they do for me now after having done a couple and knowing exactly which tools I need.
When they're all apart you can connect the parts/boards and power them up for quick checks. Just be careful where you put your fingers....stay safe.
I tried looking on eBay for a mobo to it but nothing came up; maybe I was searching for it incorrectly.
You'll be very lucky to find one unless you stumble on a unit that doesn't power up, maybe with a dead PSU only.

Look at https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/firmware-update-for-atten-ads1102cal-oscilloscope/
(https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/firmware-update-for-atten-ads1102cal-oscilloscope/)
ADS files are totally different from this UP (which is PGP encrypted like Hantek fw).
An .UP firmware won't work in a .ADS scope and vice-versa!

hi all,
I've got an Siglent SDS1102CN with the small 5.7" screen and accidently updated with firmware made for more recent versions.
now I can only see around 75% of the screen.
is there somebody who could PM me the original firmware?
many thanks in advance

I know most here are discussing a different ATTEN model, but hopefully someone can help.
I have a Atten ADS1062CAL and updated the FW with SDS1000CML_SSP_V100R005B01D02P32.ADS. There was no .cfg file in the SDS1000CNL_SSP_V100R005B01D02P32 (3).rar download.
I then had a pro solderer put the IS61LPS51236A-200TQLI memory chip on the board (I gave him a large Apple pie from Costco afterwards). I don't see any difference in the screens, saved data has the same length.
Do I need to reflash the FW? Do I need a different FW? Do I need a .cfg file? There are is another blank chip site on the board unpopulated, do I also need that chip? Any jumpers need to be set?
Also another question. I notice a Record function (Utitity, third screen), but that is in the manual so not new. Manual say you can record up to 2500 frames, then play them back. But can you save that recording to the thumb drive? I also see a Recorder function (Utility, forth screen) this is not in the manual. Scope says can only be used in the Scan mode. That is for slow scans > 100ms, so kind of doubt the memory chip has anything to do with it.
Thanks for any help!
