Hi all,

I am creating an audio splitter/combiner unit with multiple inputs, outputs, stereo to mono, switched, etc.  Attached is a schematic.
I used a bit of information from here in my design.  https://www.rane.com/note109.html

Now I am on to PCB layout.  The only issue I have, (note: this will not have high production volumes, maybe a sample set of 5) is doing single or double layer board.  Because this is audio, I need to be aware of trace distances and maybe some coupling? Especially with a 2 layer board?  Obviously interference and audio quality would make a difference here and is important.    I can route with a single layer but the rotary switches definitely provide a challenge in that routing.  Double layer would be much, much easier but again I am concerned with coupling.  Any design rules to follow or suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Use one layer for horizontal and another for vertical routing, cross traces at 90 degree... I doubt that few pF will matter at audio frequency anyway.

Use 2 layers, it's almost the same price as single layer. If you follow mvs' recommendation and do not make the traces immensely wide, we're talking about fractions of pF here.
