Avalanche beacon 457Khz transreciever

I am embedded engineer & have to experience of wireless communication sytems. I have to make avalance beacon for 457Khz.

I was looking for ready made products but they are very expensive go upto $300.

I am looking for some less expensive. I didn't find any circuit for it on internet.
Any help ???
I have to also find position & direction, it includes embedded programming, that I can handle.

It's probably expensive because they're safety critical and need to work over a wide temperature range and high humidity. Just buy a good quality one, then at least you can be sure it'll work and comply with the relevant standards.
