Basic, good quality Bench Multimeter
« on: January 07, 2019, 06:47:40 pm »
Hello
I am looking for :
- not expensive
- basic (no fancy features)
- sturdy , well build
- 4 1/2 count
Bench multimeter
as i mentioned before i need very basic functionality, no fancy features, actually I need  the functionality of normal handheld DMM but in a big case just to be able to run it from the mains, i cannot stand the idea of battery-powered DMM.
so it should be below 200$ but very sturdy; i want to use it for years to come and don't want to buy another one one or two years later.
 so what do recommend??

please don't recommend any second hand old stuff from ebay; i want my bench multimeter to be brand new

"very basic functionality" and >40,000 counts sounds like a contradiction. What about buying a pre-calibrated unit on ebay?

You'll have to search for when units come up, but what's your budget anyway?
For hi-rez volts-only you could calibrate a Keithley 181.. and use the front Mv connector with an outboard shunt for amps?
