| Basic safeguard - IEC 62368-1 |

Hello everyone, I am quite new to safety and norm things concerning electronics. I have designed a quite simple AC-DC module (42VAC to 6VDC, full bridge rectifier + cap followed by a buck). The problem is that, following IEC 62368-1, my AC source is ES2 (energy source type 2) and my regulated DC is ES1 (energy source type 1). It also says that I need a basic safeguard between ES1 and ES2. Do you have any idea what kind of component can be used to implement this requirement ? Thank you. |

Separation (safety) transformer, dcdc isolated module.maybe there are others too... There are industrial areas where more than 24ac is considered dangerous.depends also on country reglementations.like wet working areas like slaughterhouses. That is the meaning of that requirement. Thanks for your answer. I'll probably go for the smallest isolated DC/DC I can find then. |
