Title: Basics of Op Amp Gain*Bandwidth product and Slew Rate Limits
Post by: w2aew on September 17, 2014, 12:47:24 am
This topic has been on my "to-do" list for a long time, and has been requested several times.  So, here it is - the basics of an op amp's gain-bandwidth product and slew rate limit.  The video gives a basic definition and provides some measurement examples on the bench.

Definitely been bitten by this one before! Have a pretty fast signal to gain up and buffer, GBW is ok for the signal & gain settings, but scope it and its a triangle wave.  Think about it for a few seconds. "SHIT. SLEW RATE"  Then run off and go looking for other op-amps.
