Battery equaliser

I want to add four 12v lead acid batteries to my solax inverter.  Do i have to connect a battery equaliser to the circuit and how does it work?

Welcome to the forum.

You need a charge controller and depending on how you wish to configure the battery bank set the controller to manage battery equalisation.
