Worcester Bosch boiler PCB - identify 64pin TQFP IC

I have a fly tipped PCB which looks to me like the one in the link.

It has a 64 pin TQFP IC with code below - not found online

M2
JAPAN

I guess this could be management system controller?

Judging from the "JAPAN" font, I think it is a NEC microcontroller.
It maybe uPD78F0138.

Compare from the position of the power supply pins, etc. If they are in the same position, they probably are.
Since it is a MaskROM, I don't think you can dump the firmware. It may be better to give up.

I compared it to other NEC microcontrollers, but it has the distinctive #1 pin identification marking. I am sure it is correct.
