Hello. I hope this is okay to post here. I'm feeling stuck.

I rather silly-ly broke off a component from my RTX 3090. I was hoping for some help finding a replacement part or some advice. The metal block of the inductor came off but the metal connectors? are still stuck to the board.

I've measured it the best I can at 6.65mm x 6.75mm x 3.73mm

From what I understand it's a 4.7uh inductor (4R7), but there's lots to choose from. I've attached some photos to illustrate.

Thank you to anyone who can offer assistance  :)

Personally I think your best bet would be get an identical inductor from the exact same GPU model (pulled from a dead card). There's so many variables to inductors that isn't solely inductance (Q factor, SRF, core material, and much more that I don't know about) that it's safest to grab an identical inductor. Using the wrong inductor can lead to various issues like excessive heating, poor voltage control, inability to hit peak currents, and more.

Agree with finding a broken board and pull off that specific inductor. If this was not a high end card, I would say just measure the inductor and find any old inductor that matches the inductance. "Good enough" as they say.

But if you have the fortitude, I found a website that has the schematics and board view:
