Brushed AC Motor Reversal

Pretty sure I need to change the relationship between the armature and field to reverse this motor.Just need a second opinion on this.

Yes, reversing the brush leads will reverse the motor.  However if you notice that the brushes are offset from the magnetic poles.  This will result in lower performance and more arcing at the brushes.  You would need to offset the brushes to the opposite side of the poles to equal performance.

OK cool.I could just disassemble the brush board and flip it over to change the brush angle if to much arcing is present.It's an old sewing machine motor with a foot control box.
I'm using it to run a coil winder so I don't have to use the crank.I'll post what I did so others can use the information if they need it.
