Building "Ben Eater 8-bit bread board computer"
« on: June 21, 2019, 06:48:32 pm »
This is a really fun kit but I have a problem with my eyes. Has anyone built this and can take pictures of the first two modules , clock/kit 1 (one bread board) and kit 2; registers and ALU (Four bread boards). It has a really small schematic which is just barely visible but I found I'm making many mistakes. I have tried following with the videos on youtube, but those are made to show you how it works, which is great but he will often rewire the circuit to show different ways, plus I have watched the whole series so it's a bit redundant sitting through 40, 45 min videos. especially when he says "but there is a better way...".

If I had just an over head decent resolution picture of the two modules I could get the layout the same then instead of frustration it would be fun. His website points to the videos so not much help there.

Once I get the chips oriented and parts down its easy to count the pins... Thanks

For those who have built it any tips or known problems with it? I do have a old tech 3365 scope in storage I can use, but shouldn't need that or do I?
