How does the lvds cable get removed from this connector? Thanks

The brown, or the thick white is probably a piece of plastic inserted into the socket.
Insert a knife / screwdriver / other thin object - behind it and wiggle it alternating left & right in the direction of the Flex cable.

Normally these do not come out completely, but only a few mm. Then the Flex should be loose and pop out almost by itself.

Be very gentle opening the latch, they are exceedingly easy to break—along with your heart when you do it.

So the brown part should slide out towards cable. Right?
