Can I use NFC as RFID
« on: November 30, 2019, 11:18:18 am »
So I have a door entry system which uses RFID tags. Could I get a NFC sticker and use it as a RFID tag

There are a few different standard, usually spilt into two frequencies - 125kHz or 13.5Hz. it really depends on the system you're using.

the NFC tags tend to use 13.56MHz, generally produced by mifare and using there standard, if your reader supports that, then it should work,

Just kind of hoping that it doesn't just scrape the UID for a door system... these types of tags can be programmed with key strings secured by actually block keys, (practically every NFC tag out there is reprogrammable)
