A&D EW-12Ki triple range electronic scale.

Optional NiMH battery fits in this cavity probably 6 cells costs USD160, lasts all day. I only need to run on 9V PP3 NiMH at home for occasional use. Connector d-recess measures 30x4mm. Pin pitch about 2.5mm. 10 conductors. Have looked far and wide (google, RS, TE, Molex, Monotaro) and can't find what this connector is. Surely it is off the shelf.

Anybody know????

I'm guessing this is some obscure part made locally by an A and D supplier in Japan to prevent knockoff batteries from being easily manufactured for their balances.
soldar:
The manufacturer sells a mains adapter which you can use.

I am guessing even though it has ten pins in reality it is just two contacts for the battery. Right?

The male connector in the photo is the battery or the device?

Are you looking for a male or a female?

In any case, if it is just one off, you could probably make it.

Yes just find that AC adapter connector spec and power the connector with a battery.

came with mains multivoltage adapter. for in the kitchen, prefer to keep put away and use small battery. scale is male, battery female. pic is inside of battery recess. pin1 gnd, pin2 +7-10v.  connected flat 9v to dc power in socket and scale registered "low battery". so i'm guessing the oem battery has the charging circuitry inside.

was hoping to plug my 9v battery holder to the connector rather than soldering to main pcb. but if i can't source a proper connector, that soldering polarised connectors would be better than using single female 1.2mm female spades if they exist.
