That's easy enough to do when you first build the kit. If you check the supplied switch with a multimeter, you'll find that its four pins are permanently connected in two pairs then when you press it all four pins connect together. You'll need to look at the PCB layout to see which two pins to connect the external switch wires to. Worst case you may have to add fixed wire links to join the pads the switch normally permanently connects. If you've already built it its not so easy. I'd leave the switch and connect your external one in parallel. Reading the
assembly guide, It looks like the best places top-side to hook up to are the red wire from the battery, and the anode (no stripe) end of D1.
