There is DipMicro, they are Canadian, although I don't know if they actually ship from Canada, I seem to remember having stuff come from them (to NZ) through SwissPost maybe, but haven't bought anything from them in years.

That reminds me I just ordered a 9.00 baofeng HAM radio including shipping. A ham radio for less then 300 bucks? How abut 9? The chinese thing has made selling stuff on ebay so hard. People just look at the price and forget it takes forever to ship. And somethings you can ONLY find from china. I liked it better when we had a choice as consumers.

I agree with the possible blacklisting, however you haven't addressed the fact that CPC no longer shows online international tracking, which was once a standard here, as in most countries.
As for the CBSA, who knows? We'll never know the truth, especially from CPC (they tend to censor their Facebook page, funny that).
Want a job? Posted on a regular basis;

Their tracking is a joke now, I agree. But the job opening you've posted is for a single position. I would be surprised if 3-4 people made a significant difference in the volume of mail processed.

Quote from rfd thread (https://forums.redflagdeals.com/mail-processing-canada-customs-slow-711375/52/):
Quote
Surprisingly, I spoke to a supervisor who was friendly and helpful. She sent me an email saying the item apparently arrived in Canada on Feb. 7 but Canada Post never had it in its possession. She even included a screenshot of their system. She confirmed that a lot of packages are sent from Richmond to Mississauga to get processed because Canada Post and CBSA are understaffed in Richmond.

So you are right about it being shipped somewhere else to process, and we won't know know who to blame. But the fact that items shipped after christmas are arriving sooner than the ones shipped before is very suspicious. It would indicate CBSA targeting certain shipments for additional inspection.

From that thread, if you can pay an extra $4 for ePacket it will arrive quickly.

The worst thing about ebay now is when you are looking for something not from china and are willing to pay more. This is a big problem when I try to order things to make flavorings for foods. I really dont trust chemicals or filters from china, since a small amount of contamination can lead to a deadly and unwanted chemical reaction. Mmmmmm artificial ingredients! Did you know they have counterfeit eggs in china? All synthetic and toxic materials. Eggs? Really?

Yes I use DipMicro and they ship to Canadians using  Canada post surface from southern Ontario, that is no Customs. No Customs for American orders as well as they seem to personally truck across the border and ship from the US side handling customs themselves. Good people, reliable, limited selection of mostly chinese stuff at OK prices. 5 to 7 days to get to Vancouver Island. To the island  always takes an additional day for the ferry ride.

It can take months for me in CA as well, most of the Chinese EBay sellers I have bought from will DHL if you ask them to, it costs around $9 to $14 U.S. And arrives in a few days usually.

For those wondering, a tablet case sold by my local store is listed at $35 MSRP not including taxes.  The exact same case is $6 + free shipping on ebay/aliexpress.

PS. The tracking numbers, if any, supplied are totally useless.
Wow, I ordered this tablet case on March 9 from Aliexpress, seller shipped March 11 and it arrived today (March 20).  Unbelievable, only 9 days.

Additionally, shipping information was provided and it showed when it arrived in Canada (March 17) and how long customs took to process the package.

It was shipped via ePacket with delivery confirmation.  I paid $6 CDN + free shipping.

So, maybe, just maybe everything is working now?  I'm pleased with the case and price that I ordered another from the same seller today.  Hopefully, it will arrive within 2 weeks as well.

PS. I ordered this same case from ebay back in November 2016 and it never arrived. Seller gave me refund though.

I'll add my 2 cents on this. Free-shipping packages from China to Israel usually take about a month to arrive (today I got something I ordered on ebay on February 17th), but it can take much longer around global events (e.g. Christmas or Chinese new year sale) that create a load on China Post, or local holidays when people buy more and create a load on the feeble local post.

My impression is that when the post workers are faced with too many packages, they simply give up - leave the piles as they are, attend to newer incoming packages, and only process the old ones if and when things are quiet again.
