Hi all,
Does anyone have any recommendations for an positional feedback linear actuator with an inbuilt potentiometer that is strong enough to lift and support a person (max weight 80kg) on a chair with sufficient factor of safety? (Max load should be about 150kg) Basically, this electrical actuator is to replace the common gas cylinder in height adjustable chairs.
I have found some that might work but I have some problems with it..
The PA-17 Heavy Duty Actuator by Progressive Automations is capable of lifting very high loads (up to 900kg). However, it draws alot of current (20A @ 12V) and it is very expensive..

However, its max load is only 90kg, which just barely meets the requirement.

Any recommendations and suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
