CircuitWriter Conductive Pen, Heat treatment?????
« on: February 16, 2015, 12:39:05 pm »
Hi EEV Members,
This might be a silly question but have found no answer for it and this might help others.
I bought a Silver based CircuitWriter conductive Pen (CAIG) to fix a trace on soon to be lab power supply, that broke because of capacitor fluid leakage (corroded).
Now, I have seen how to apply it but the instructions indicates that if it will be soldered on it needs to be heat cured  :-//.
Well that is the first time I've read something like that. How it is performed? Hot Air Gun, Soldering Iron? What Temperature?
The package only indicates to use low heat solder but it does not help.
Will think about it.
