Clumsy solution to an error; how to improve it?
« on: June 29, 2019, 12:42:23 pm »
Hi all
In my pcb board I've implemented a schematic error.
I inverted Vcc and Vss (vss is part of the copper pour) pin connection in the schematic. f@ck!
In one picture I point the 2 left middle pins of an IC that have inverted route tracks.
I figured out an obnoxious solution involving 2 bended pins of an extra IC socket connected to the original IC socket.
It looks like it works just fine now. Last night I shorteed the IC. f@ck!
I will make another correct pcb, I was just wondering if something better looking was possible to achieve.
Cheers
Memento audere semper.

Swap pins 2 and 3?

Well it depends how good you are at making precision track cuts and soldering thin bare tinned copper wire jumpers.   IMHO the mod can be made almost invisibly before the socket or IC is fitted.
