Title: Combining Mux's
Post by: sci4me on July 03, 2013, 08:31:08 am
Hey guys, noob question: I have to mux into 69 OR MORE (it depends on the final design) and i can only use mux's with 5 bits selection. So basically each mux has 32 outputs and i need 69 or more. If anyone can tell me exectly how I need to connect them together, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

EDIT: Like an idiot, i wrote demux instead of mux. :|

I'm afraid it's not clear to me exactly what you want to do.  So please, tell us more (maybe a lot more) so we can help.

Given the rather curious design constraint I'd almost guess homework is due. At an rate, you can cascade mux stages. Google "cascading mux". And if you inadvertently actually meant demux, then you know what to google instead. ;)
