So most text books have things like rectifiers, filters, discrete amplifiers etc...
Does anybody know of good books, websites or other that have collections of the many other "standard" circuit "tricks".
You occasionally run into them here and there in appnotes, but I was wondering if there were any informative collections of these circuits.
Things like diode switches, adding hysteresis to comparators, compensating for input bias in op-amps, subtracting a voltage from a signal with a transistor and a zener, simple level detectors...
I've seen Alan (w2aew) cover some of these "tricks" in his videos, was just wondering if there was some repository of them out there

Thanks Vincent, looks very interesting so I just ordered a copy.
I also have "Linear Applications Handbook" by National Semi which is also full of helpful stuff.
What I was hoping for, and your suggestion may fit the bill, was an easily searchable collection of discrete circuits that either solves or give ideas to help solve common analogue design problems
For example, I needed to pull something low when a certain voltage was reached in an already overcrowded circuit. I didn't want to stick a comparator or op-amp in there, dicking around with power supplies, decoupling caps and/or feedback resistors, so I managed get it done with a resistor, zener and transistor.
Unfortunately I don't come across these sorts of problems often enough to get good at it and thought some reference cct's would of been handy.
