Component placement problems
« on: February 02, 2021, 06:49:04 pm »
I have a board with a DC-Dc converter, the converter changed,  I deleted the old placed the new, all the nets are correct and rats nest is correct the part is also in class with a room. when I try to drag part onto board it stops, like it hit a wall.....I am a board designer from many years ago and with different software, I am the stuckie on learning Altium 17.1.

thx

Maybe some polygons are set that have a different net and are forbidden from short-circuiting them when dragging?
And sorry for my English.

I would take a look in the design rules.
Or delete the board and put it back in there.

I’d suggest you ask a moderator to move this thread to the Altium subforum, since this is a) an Altium-specific question, and b) this is the beginners subforum, and Altium is categorically not a beginner-level tool, so most visitors to this subforum will have no experience with Altium.

Shelve all the polygons and then try again.
printf("Respect");
