Title: Connecting a CH340G to 2.8V
Post by: soFPG on July 17, 2020, 04:36:19 pm
Hello,

according to the CH340G datasheet, it is 2.8V capable (I need 2.8V due to other components on my PCB).
While TX / RX should run on 2.8V, D+ and D- for USB of course have to be 5V - right?

I don't understand how to connect the CH340G to do this, there is a "V3"-Pin and a "VCC"-Pin.

My idea was connecting 2.8V to "V3" and 5V to "VCC" - anyone here who has experience with this?

But the datasheet says "V3 connect to VCC". If V3 connects to VCC, both are at 2.8V - how is this supposed to work with D+ and D-?
