There are several mods for this meter shown and explained in this forum, with pictures and notes.

Don't be a lazy boy  and do a search before asking.

Basically the chip used in the meter is well documented so if you bother to read the datasheet then it's possible to solder thin wires to the pins of the IC and extend the functionality of the meter the way you want.

It's not  a matter of being lazy it's just I have to read through hundreds of pages in order to find a single post that show me what I need to know... I have basic knowledge of electronics and I need help trying to figure out how to do the mods ...I was trying get all the info in one thread instead of being spread all over .....

It took me 2 minutes to find a thread, simply by entering "UT61E" in the search box and selecting "search in thread titles only".  After all, you only get 9-10 results.

Here's a page: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/general-chat/ut61e-auto-power-off-modification/

There's a couple of other hacks in the long discussion thread : https://www.eevblog.com/forum/product-reviews-photos-and-discussion/uni-t-ut61e-multimeter-teardown-photos/

Just press "/" in Firefox then press Ctrl+F and type a word like "hack" or "modification" and go from page to page clicking on the "Next" button on that search box at the bottom and it takes you a few minutes to find the pages showing up those links to mods or whatever.
There's also a discussion somewhere in the thread about how to implement such hacks, and links to the datasheet of the chip inside the meter.

You won't learn anything just by reading "solder wire here and you're done", put some effort into it.
