Hi,
I'm trying to create an SCR in Multisim using the manufacturer's Spice model. The problem is that the newly created SCR works like a diode, no matter what the gate signal is.

Here's the datasheet: https://www.vishay.com/docs/94391/vs-70tpspbf.pdf
Here's the Spice model: https://www.vishay.com/docs/96761/vs-70tps16.pdf

Here's a video about me creating the new device: .
For a comparison, I designed the same circuit using a Multisim-included SCR, which works fine. At 5:31 you can see the voltage across the resistor in both cases.

So I really don't know why it doesn't work. Any thoughts?

Thank you
Michele

EDIT: the LTspice .asc file of the circuit is attached

I used the component wizard with the manufacturer's spice model. The video you sent is about creating a new component from scratch.

I replicated the same circuit in LTspice. What I get is a bunch of random spikes.
The .asc file is attached.
