Crystal HC49 1813NR 2MHz (IQD)
« on: June 21, 2019, 01:31:01 pm »
I bought a crystal just to experiment with and see how it will work.

However, the datasheet had no example circuits and, even though I tried a few from the Tinterweb, I can get it to oscillate.

Does anyone have a simple circuit that will work please?

Cheers.

Cheers. I did try three but none worked. I wondered if there was a "tried and tested" one. I'll try that one.

A crystal behaves like a tuned circuit.  If your oscillator has enough gain but doesn't oscillate, you may have a bad crystal.  Try a different one.  If the Q is too low it won't have enough loop gain to oscillate.
