Component identification
« on: April 06, 2020, 01:12:10 am »
Hey there ...
Staying at home all days means you can start digging into the "junk bins" you've promised yourself for the last many years you would get to, some time.

I have the following two components I got out of something - I had initially marked them as resistors, but that's obviously wrong.  I need a bit of help identifying what they are - it almost looks like some kind of fuse, but I'm not sure.

Check if they measure like diodes, if not should be GDT.

No conductivity at all. Not when measured as a resistor or as a diode.  So GDT sounds like a good guess.  A quick search doesn't seem to find anything that talks about the color bands although no model number is printed on them.

Here's a couple of GDT that also have 2 color bands for identification and look the same inside.
