Designing a PCIe edge connector in Eagle.
(1/1)
UTF_8x:
Hi. I'm trying to make a board with a PCIe edge connector on it in Eagle and I'm using the pre-made component from the con-pc library (PCI-E-164SLOT). This component comes with the appropriate pads and board shape. My question is, how do I connect the outline of my board to the predefined outline of the connector? (please see attached image)
Thank you.

You need to look at the data sheet, for the connector, and see if there are any directions. The manufacturer could, surely, help you. Feel free to call them. It is typical, for designers to check with them.
An easy method is to put the connector on the Eagle board, where you think it will go, print the board layout, at 100% scale, and match the actual component, to the board. You should do this, as a part of your regular design practice, anyway.
