Hey All

Purchased a 6 cell LI Ion Battery pack 12.5V 6000mah capacity. Tried to get more details from the seller but they couldn't help.

Listing states using Samsung 21700 cells. (no exact model specified)

The pack has a continuous output of 15A 

Thinking the cells are 3000mah 3x in series then doubled to be parallel.

The supplied charger is a generic 1A 12.6V li Ion charger/ PSU. Which is very slow to charge a pack of this size.   

Typical Li Ion cell charge rates are at 0.5-1C.

When in a pack can a suitable charging current be (for this pack) 3-6A?

Hard to say since we don't know the specs of the battery.

But 0.5C is probably safe. So 3A.
6A might also work but without knowing the spec of the cell it's a bit risky and may cause damage if the cell isn't rated for it.
Even cells that are rated for 1C charge are slowly damaged by it and last longer if you charge them slower.

Are you sure it's using 2170 cells,  15A discharge seems odd for a 2170 cell and even more odd for 2 in parallel, sounds more like 18650 cells

Normally cells are first parallelled, then these parallelled cells are connected in series. It usually makes no sense to do otherwise.

When in a pack can a suitable charging current be (for this pack) 3-6A?
The best way to determine this is to measure the actual capacity of your battery (fully charge, then do a measuring discharge with an electronic load) and you'll know the C. Then, 0.5C for normal charge, 1C if you want quick charge.
