Due to space restrictions I have had to use some 1.27pitch THT Pin headers. I am now looking for a more resaonable supplier cost wise. RS in the UK are over £2 for each connector, Farnell is Worse. Toby is a even more expensive £2.79. The best so far has been Ali-Express and there are only 2 sellers but even then they work out £1 each. If I have too I will go to AliExpress but the time delay for post/cost of post will be an issue.

Anyone have any ideas for suppliers for these connectors? I am in the UK ... if that makes any difference.

In a perfect world I would prefer the low profile version (not so tall) that I have seen of these.

Cheers.

EDIT:    tme.eu    are cheapest so far at £0.90  &   £0.62      less VAT and del.

You might be able to save a bit with LCSC if you decide to use surface mount instead of through hole. The male ones come in a bag without pick and place caps though.

I'm surprised Toby is that much for what looks like a 10x2 1.27mm pitch pin header (as an example TMS-110-02-G-D is £0.95 in singles), what parts are you looking at?

If you're a company, the likes of Wurth will sell direct to you - but they charge shipping.  Roughly, you end up paying about half the price of a distributers right hand column (high quantity) count even for single items.

Thanks for the replies guys. In the end I went with AliExpress and they ended up at 34p as opposed to £2.50 from RS for the female and similar ratio reduction for the male. Still expensive when compared to the 10p and less for 2.54mm pitch equivalent but more manageable to buy a quantity of ahead of building some boards.

Cheers.

Oh and I had to use THT because of space restrictions in width and height of connector. 10th of millimeters counted.

Also, take a look at the 2mm ones, They are smaller than the 2.54 mm and easy to handle than the 1.27mm

Yes I had a look at those but unfortunately they were too high when combined.

I also want to use 1.27 connector (between two boards) or something with similar pitch. 2.54 is too big. It will be used frequently, so I think SMD one will not last long.
I found few but the pins are very dense and can not fit a trace between the pins (I need connector with two rows of pins). Anyone can recommend anything?
