Digitech Oscilliscope

Hi All

need to know where im going wrong here just purchased an Oscilloscope for learning and have hooked it up to test port but cannot get square wave to show. no vertical lines as per attached image. Don't know if its faulty or not.

It looks like you have dots mode enabled. Have a look in the settings. There is usually a configuration for the display mode.

Still the same problem, nothing ahem to work no horizontal lines on the test square wave

So if you press Ctrl-V it does not change the display? What is shown in the Display -> Type ?

Try to get a closer look at the edge of the signal. It is possible it just renders the signal this way, although I doubt it.

It's normal to not see the transitions.  They occur very fast.  Digital 'scopes often have a 'connect the dots' function that shows those transitions.

According to this scope manual Ctrl-V switches it to the vector display mode, which  should "connect the dots". If it does not, then software is broken.

I think you mean no vertical lines btw.
