Title: Diy Textronix TDS 1002 extension module
Post by: nunolopez on December 11, 2024, 03:32:29 am
Hi everyone, I’m new here, so apologies if this isn’t the right place to post this.
I was wondering if anyone has successfully created a DIY extension module for the Tektronix TDS 1002 oscilloscope. The original TDS2CMA module, which provides RS-232 and GPIB communication, seems quite overpriced on eBay for what it offers

I have read this topic from another person that created a diy module for the TDS2CM the issue is this person never shared any schematics or gerber files https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/reverse-engineering-tds2cmtds2mm/ (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/reverse-engineering-tds2cmtds2mm/)

Did you try messaging the OP ? I have an old Tektronix DSO, also with some old style com port I've never used. But for a challenge maybe this winter, I should try and get some serial communication to a PC. Price and time wise it's not worth it, but some day I might try and replace the CRT w/ some modern screen.
