Drag Soldering tip for Aoyue 968a+ soldering station
« on: December 02, 2020, 12:14:55 pm »
Hey there,

Was wondering if you are able to assist me with some recommendations on which tip to use for drag soldering with the Aoyue 968a+ soldering station.

Many thanks!

I use a 1/8" chisel tip.  That is what I use but it isn't right.

The recommended type for drag soldering is the type BCM or CM. The BC or C will work as well. The type with a small hole in it should be better, because you have a small reservoir of solder, with that you can remove too much solder from bridged pins, because the solder flows back to the hole. Or at least should flow, I haven't tested it until now.
