small connector for cmos camera sensor
« on: January 29, 2015, 06:50:08 am »
Hi all
I want to cool a cmos camera that i m using at the moment for noise reduction in long exposure images.
My plan is to attach a peltier at the back side of the sensor. The sensor board is connected to the processor's board with a small connector that i havent seen before and i m going to try to find some extension cable  so i can have some clearance between the 2 boards.
Does anyone know the type of the connector??

I am attaching a few pictures of the board

Many many thanks

I'd look around at websites of usual suspects: Tyco, Amphenol, Hirose, Molex, Samtec, Binder, 3M.

There is a good chance though, if that samera was salvaged from something, that the mating connector is virtually unavailable in single quantities. Perhaps you'd be better off removing the connector and soldering a ribbon cable to the footprint?
I love the smell of FR4 in the morning!

I m looking at the websites but no luck.
The camera is brand new so i ll give it a second thought and a few days of searching before soldering the ribbon cable.

Thanks a lot
