Datasheet timing diagram questions...
« on: April 14, 2023, 06:18:50 am »
I chose a random figure from a datasheet. I'm trying to understand what the crosshatched waveforms mean. Is this standardized? It's not explained in this or other datasheets that I can see.

It means "not guaranteed" or  "not important", "can change" or "might change".
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.
Glider pilot's aphorism: "there is no substitute for span". Retort: "There is a substitute: skill+imagination. But you can buy span".

In this case, I'd call it "don't care", meaning the address lines can change without anything happening.

That's what I took it to mean, but wasn't sure. Thank you!
