Feedback for my coin box project
« on: October 18, 2024, 11:05:21 pm »
Hello everyone  :). I am a complete noob in electronics and I started off my first project. I want to make a "coin box"  that would simulate a key press ( when a coin is entered obviously)  for an arcade retro consonle (next step of the project). It's gonna be like a peripheral. I scketched the circuit and I wanted some feedback about potential mistakes/improvements

I would recommend when starting out using a 12V supply (like a laptop or LCD monitor supply), so you don't have to deal with the dangers of 230V.

You haven't shown the pinout on the RP2040, but it looks like you are using the pullup to 5V. I think it can go to the 3.3V pin just below it.
Otherwise it looks good to me.
