Finding Equivalent P-Ch
«

How does one go about finding the evil twin, I mean the P-Channel equivalent of this NTE457 (JFET).
I have looked at the NTE456 & NTE458, both are N-Ch.

Easy! There's about half a dozen P-ch JFETs still in production; just sort through their datasheets and pick the closest one.
Don't get your hopes up...
...Oh actually it's more like three, which in typical JFET fashion, come in three-ish flavors each (neighboring part numbers, sorted by Idss bins), and second-sourced by a couple manufacturers each.

Calogic has some p-channel JFETs also if you can figure out where to buy them.
The selection of p-channel JFETs is so small that checking them all will not be difficult.
