First oscilloscope - Keysight EDUX1002G vs DSOX1102A
(1/1)
newbie666:
I'm looking into buying my first oscilloscope. At first I was going to pick up a - now classic - Rigol DS1054Z but then I learned about the low end scopes from Keysight.
I'm almost decided on EDUX1002G as I love the idea of having a built-in signal generator (I don't have a dedicated lab space for now so less equipment == better and easier to set up) but I just wanted to check with you guys to understand what I'm loosing by selecting EDU rather than DSO scope.
I went through the datasheet and the only difference I see is
* bandwidth (I don't think I need more than 50Mhz for now)
* memory depth (order of magnitude better on DSO)
* segmented memory
I don't really understand implications of the latter two so I probably don't need better specs anyway, correct me if I'm wrong.
I'll be using it to test some audio stuff, smps psu, simple uC circuits.
Anyway, if anybody went through similar decision process I'd love to hear what were pros and cons and what you ended up with.
