Plz disregard the size. They make these micro, small, and large. They are called flow type tips.

How would one use this?

Right now I find useful blade type, conical, chisel, bevel and j hook.

I tried to picturing me using one of this, and I really have no clue.  :-//

They are used exclusively for drag soldering. Apply some solder and drag over multiple IC pins.

This is the first time I have seen this type of tip. Thanks to Wraper for the clarification.

FWIW I actually find them to be useful beyond just drag soldering, because the little cup likes to pull off excess solder. This makes them surprisingly useful for various soldering tasks.
