Hello, yes I get this paper, but I speak about a real protocol implemented on fluke 289 , each frame start by 10 02 ... 10 03 crc. I have already discovered many parameters and possibilities, more than the 6 ASCII 2 bytes commands

1st dont mix the 187 189 with the 287 289 series they are not built the same
if by miracle they share the same protocol ... that's another thing, i dont catch what you mean by real protocol ?? they are defined in the following
a better google search give this
https://www.uniteng.com/neildocs/facilities/Fluke289_remote_spec28X.pdf (https://www.uniteng.com/neildocs/facilities/Fluke289_remote_spec28X.pdf)
or
visual studio you see the commands

The 187/189 and the 287/289 use the same IR to RS-232 (or USB) cables so electrically they are the same but the protocol are different. I don't know what the OP is trying to do. If he wants to make the cable then they are the same (except for the way of attaching the IR to the meter, the Fluke cable came with the adapter to use with the 187/189). If he wants to write the software then they are different.

Hello, today I have made a big progress . I know that ASCII protocol or binary protocol use the same string. In fact the 10 02.... could be use on hard environment when you should be sure the exchange is working well. I have discovered more that 6 more important message to get info and set info on FK287 (I will check on 289 later).

Hi All,
I'm looking for the non documented remote functions for the Fluke 789.
Looking for a command to increase and decrease the 4-20mA steps for an automated calibration test I'm coding.
Normally I would use the emulate keypress, eg 'SF 10' they don't work for me, I away get a fail response '1'
All the ascii command like ID QM etc work fine,
but I'm looking for the set function commands or equivalent (Ascii or Hex format),
If anyone has any functions to try, please PM me
Thanks in advance.
