will a capacitor discharge through a diode bridge?

I have some diodes, I could set it up -  but does someone think if it will or not?

Do you mean a storage/smoothing cap on the DC side of the bridge? Only a minuscule leakage current will discharge the caps.

It certainly would if you connect it in forward bias. If you use the the bridge to retifiy an AC voltage source and then using the capacitor to filter out the ripple then no it won't dischage back to the source.

sorry I dont know how to ask this question properly,  I tried to delete this and it came back by accident.

Thanks everyone for being nice and helpful,    but I need to think about this before I pose the question again...
