for atteintion of alan W2AEW Fast pulse generator
« on: May 04, 2013, 05:39:00 pm »
Hi Alan finished the fast pulse generator, you can see it's ringing ok on the top of the trace and a small ringing on the bottom start edge, I'm going to build the other part tomorrow for inductance and capacitance, tried it on coax, but mine has a 4: 1 balun in it, so it reflected pretty much as this only larger, I'm running it at 3.5ish volts, which seems to be most happiest at, it's a brilliant edition to the ham shack. there is one thing I need to ask ,my scope measures in micro seconds , not nano, seconds, and I don't know the calculation difference between the  two :(
Thanks    :-+ :-+

Good job, Paul. Looks like you've got your answer.  Multiply microseconds to get nanoseconds.

Thanks Alan , I've made a start on the inductance capacitance part now , what's next, I'm enjoying the training, especially as I can use this equipment in the shack , perhaps a  variable audio filter would be useful.

Have you checked out my D104 mic preamp / EQ video? It's a decent general purpose mic preamp and active bass/treble control circuit. Good for simple mic equalization for your rig.

I've got a few more ideas for the fast-edge pulser, maybe I'll have something to share in a few weeks.

Hi Alan , I'm gathering the parts now for your audio amp EQ, that looks like a nice project :-+, and looking forward to more instalments on the fast edge.
Thanks for replying.
